Refund policy

HandToText page packs are sold by Paddle (Paddle.com), our authorized reseller and the merchant of record for all orders. Paddle issues every refund.
Refunds within 14 days
You can ask for a refund of a page pack within 14 days of buying it. Write to support@handtotext.app with the email address you used at checkout and, if you have it, the order number from Paddle's receipt. We then ask Paddle to refund the pack in full to the payment method you used. You can also contact Paddle using the details in your receipt.
How long the money takes to reach you depends on Paddle and on your bank or card provider.
What happens to your pages
- When a refund is completed, the pages that pack added are taken off your page balance.
- If your balance is smaller than that because you have already used pages, it goes below zero, and a pack you buy later first makes up the difference. For example, if you used 30 pages of a 100-page pack and then had it refunded, a new 100-page pack leaves you 70 pages.
- If Paddle refunds only part of a pack's price, the pages taken off are in proportion to the amount refunded, rounded up.
- A page we fail to transcribe, including one the AI provider refuses to process, is not counted, so it needs no refund.
- If the text of a counted page is lost on its way back to you, the same page sent again from the same browser within 30 minutes of the counted run runs again without counting. Once that free run has returned the text, or once the 30 minutes have passed, sending the same page again counts as a new page.
After 14 days
After 14 days, page packs are not refundable under this policy. This does not limit your rights under consumer law, for example if HandToText did not work as described.
EU and UK withdrawal rights
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, the law may also give you 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. Paddle, as the seller, handles that right under its buyer terms. Under EU and UK consumer law, this right can end early for a digital purchase that is supplied immediately, once you have agreed to immediate supply and acknowledged that you lose the right. Our 14-day refund on request applies whether or not that right still applies to your purchase.
Chargebacks
If you dispute a payment with your bank or card provider, Paddle handles the dispute. If the chargeback is approved, the pack's pages are taken off your balance as for a refund; if the chargeback is later reversed, they are returned. Within 14 days of your purchase, you can ask us for a refund instead.
